July's been busy!

Some great riding by PCC members over the last couple of weeks – from taking part in top drawer club rides and organised events, through to some amazing individual achievements.

A few “escapees” were even spotted getting away for a few days and enjoying some glorious riding in Yorkshire, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Mallorca, and also gravelling it around King Alfred’s Way.

Special mention must go to all the club riders who completed the GWR ride on the hottest weekend of the year (many riding their biggest road distance so far), and also to two fantastic charity raising superstars: James H for his amazing 21 stage Grand Tour effort, riding 2,100 km (one km for every mile completed in the Tour de France): and Neil S for a totally bonkers 196 miles and 16k+ feet of climbing during the Wales-in-a-Day Ride from Caernarfon to Chepstow, in 30 plus degree heat ! Well done all on some great riding, and for the fantastic donation totals raised by James and Neil for the Bust and St Peters Hospice charities respectively.

On the competitive front, PCC riders have had great results in a number of different TT events, and also Crit-racing at the Odd Down and Thruxton circuits, added to which 3 super speedy club riders were kidnapped and forced against their will into a special GCN Clubs Team to take part in a number of race events for a GCN feature showing soon – sounded like a lot of fun actually.

Finally big congrats to the MTB crew riding the National Enduro Championship last weekend, especially to super Sasha S for securing a brilliant 3rd place, and to John C for very nearly squeezing into the top 10.

Nice going everyone.

Proud to be PCC.
