PCC Christmas Rides & Meal

The booking system for the Christmas meal is now open. Tickets are £30, but there's an early bird offer of £25 which will expire on Friday 24th October.

We're a club of 249 members and we've booked out the Indian Empire in Portishead for our Christmas Meal. Places are limited to 70, so please don't delay thinking you can book up in early December. You may miss out! The Social Team have outdone themselves this year.

We've booked out Indian Empire from 1:30pm to 5pm What's included:

2 x papadums (each)

1 starter to share between 3

Rice / Naans to share

A curry of your choice - We've limited the menu to give the kitchen a chance. Please make your choices at check out.

The committee will provide table drinks.

(It's a Bring Your Own Drinks (BYO), If you want something Specific then BYO)

Yes.. You did read that last bit correctly. Wine, Beer and Cider (Or whatever's on offer in the Supermarkets at the time)

Curry Choices - You can select on the booking form - It's a limited menu so that we can mainly get fed at the same time (or that's the plan)

Option 1 - Chicken Mirch - Chicken cooked with fresh green chillies, fried garlic cloves, fresh herbs and spices as well as tomatoes, coriander and spring onions

Option 2 - Lamb Madhuri - Lamb pieces cooked with natural fresh honey with fresh ginger in a medium enriched sauce

Option 3 - Chicken Tikka Masala - Creamy curry made with marinated grilled chicken pieces simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce infused with garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and a splash of cream

Option 4 - Prawn Bhuna - Prawn cooked with tomatoes, fresh herbs and coriander in a bhuna medium sauce

Option 5 - Chicken Korma - Creamy chicken pieces in a fragrant blend of yogurt, ground cashews, sautéed onions, garlic and ginger

Option 6 - Veggie - Bagari Begun - Authentic Sylheti dish made with aubergine, potatoes, peanut paste and tamarind sauce, garnished with yoghurt

Option 7 - Vegan - Sabzi Miluni - Mixed vegetable curry, with a medium spicy sauce made with chef's special recipe

Times and routes are subject to change, but there will be short and longer road rides plus a gravel option. These links will get updated.

We're looking at some options for showers / changing for those that live outside of Portishead. Saturday 13th December plan summary

9:30am rides start - Meeting at the Poacher - Fancy dress very much encouraged

Around 12pm - Finish rides, shower and change into whatever you feel like

12-12:30pm - Meet up at The Poacher for a Pre Meal drink.

1:30pm - 5pm To the Indian Empire. Food and Drink is included in your ticket price.

5pm - follow Jamie / Chris and good luck.
