Welcome to the 2023 installment!

SUNDAY 10th SPEPTEMBER 2023

We're a local cycling club and not a commercial operator.  We put a lot of time and attention planning these routes to make sure that you have an amazing day out that's excellent value for your money.
The Blinder is for Road Bikes

The Grinder is a mixed surface route suitable for Gravel or Mountain Bikes

It's the same entry fee for both events, they share the start, feed stations and the post event food and drink.

You just have to choose which bike to bring!

Portishead Cycling Club proudly presents

The Peaky Blinder

The road route features the Mendip Man Strava art or just his head if you chose the shorter option.  There are some stiff climbs and quality descents if you chose the full loop or an easier flatter course on the shorter head and shoulders option.

The Cheeky Grinder

A challenging loop out from Portishead to Cheddar and back.  There's almost too many highlights to note!  We'll leave it at Bourton Combe, Dundry, Cadbury Camp, Felton, the Bridleways of Blagdon, Velvet Bottom, Rowbarrow tracks, Beacon Batch.

Shorter options are available

The Poacher - Event HQ

Located on the High Street in Portishead.  Less than 10 minutes off the M5 Junction 19.
Free parking at Roath Road Car Park (next to the pub)
The start and then the venue for the included hot food and a drink at the bar at the end.

The Feedstations

Proper cakes, snacks, treats and sweets
(and probably a few bananas)

You will not be disappointed!

The Main Feedstation will be at Felton Village Hall with a lighter version at the far end of the longest loops
