The Peaky Blinder & Cheeky Grinder
Time & Location
About the Event
Welcome to the Peaky Blinder & Cheeky Grinder!
One event. Pick your route any combination of routes. The Peaky Blinder takes place on local roads, while the Cheeky Grinder is a gravel ride.
You can ride as many laps of either circuit as you want between 9.30am and 3pm, but you must start your last lap of either route before the 3pm cut-off time.
The final routes will be published two weeks before the event.
The Peaky Blinder route (Road) will be around 35 miles long.
The Cheeky Grinder route (Gravel) will be around 25-30 miles long. The route will use our local knowledge to take in the small lanes, bridleways, tracks, drove roads and green lanes. Suitable for Gravel/CX/Adventure bikes, or MTB.
Both routes start and finish from Haiko Cycling. You will find our fantastic feed station here as well as the included drink of your choice and hot food from 12pm onwards when you've called it a day. The social element of the event is part of it's DNA. We are a local cycling club and not a commercial organiser.
Entry costs just £25.00 per rider and includes:
- Fully signed routes
- GPX files
- Mechanical support
- The legendary feed station
- Post ride hot food
- Complementary soft or alcoholic drink
- A donation to St Peter's Hospice
We are currently looking into discounted options for Junior riders (Just to cover the costs of the admin, feed station, hot food and insurances)
Event HQ & Registration
Haiko Cycling, Harbour Road, Portishead, BS20 7BL.
When you have parked, please go to the registration area to sign on and collect your rider number from a marshal. Saturday collections will be available if you are local.
You will not be able to park at our event HQ at Haiko Cycling, although there is plenty of free parking available locally. If you need any further information please drop us an email and we'll give you the best option.
Can I bring 2 bikes? If you want to bring a gravel bike and a road bike that’s great. We’ll provide a secure ticketed area for safe storage, you can of course use your own lock as well for additional piece of mind.
Youth riders aged 12 to 16 can take part in the event as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Riders over the age of 16 can ride solo, subject to the completion of a parental or guardian consent form.
We recommend you carry two spare inner tubes, tyre levers, a pump and a lightweight folding multi-tool in case of a mechanical. Bring enough fluids and food for a lap and the reload at the feed station.
If you wake up and simply do not fancy it, refunds are not permitted. However, in exceptional circumstances refunds will be at the discretion of the event organisers.
